Probation FAQs
Can I pass probation before my 2 weeks are up?
Yes. If you’ve already completed at least 10 valid questions, you can ask us to review you before your probation period is over. Just send us a message at cs-hk@snapask.com or through the Snapask app!
Why doesn’t my question count change?
Questions answered during your probation period aren’t logged in your tutor dashboards yet. Once you’ve passed probation and become a Snapask Certified Tutor, your valid sessions will start being counted in the Snapask app.
Do unrated sessions still count towards the 10 valid sessions that I need to get?
Yes. As long as your unrated sessions are valid, these will count towards the 10 valid sessions you’ll need to pass probation. We encourage you to remind students to rate you once you’ve answered their question. That said, we understand that it’s up to the student to leave a rating or not. Your overall rating will not be affected by unrated sessions.
I can’t see any questions! What do I do?
Please switch on app notifications from Snapask so that you receive alerts for any new questions coming in. Staying active on the app and turning on notifications will help improve your chances of picking up new questions.
When are the best times to pick up questions?
Generally, Snapask’s peak hours are Friday evenings and weekend afternoons. Being active on the app during these periods can make it easier for you to pick up new questions.
One of my sessions has been open for days, but the student hasn’t replied. What do I do?
You may reach out to us via the Snapask app so that we can help you close the session.
